A bit about me,

I describe myself as a printmaker that likes to paint, and sometimes a painter that likes to print.

Working from my home studio in Liverpool, I thrive on mixing things up. As an artist on a continual journey of discovery exploring both new processes and creative ideas, I usually begin with a subject that resonates with me on a personal level. From there, I delve into the worlds of printmaking and painting to create my response.

The physical act of painting and printmaking is an emotional outlet for me, an itch that constantly needs to be scratched. By combining painting, print, and collage, my studio is rarely the tidiest place but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love being surrounded by the tools and materials of my craft.

Unlike the chaos that usually follows a full studio session, attending regular life drawing classes helps me slow down and stay present in the moment. For me, drawing feels like taking apart a jigsaw puzzle with my eyes, constantly examining how lines, shadows, and shapes connect before piecing them back together on the page.
